Sowing and Reaping

Be patient, therefore, brothers,[a] until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains.

-James 5:7-

The denials of man are usually affirmations of the power of God that is perfected in the weaknesses that we have to recognize our absolute dependence on Him.

Definitely we must march to advance, what is expected will not come to meet us if we do not go in search of it. We argue all that we have struggled to obtain something and that probably another harvest instead of us, but it is possible to glimpse in other fields better harvests than they would even be for us only if we are in the disposition to believe God, despite the obstacles that arise. They interpose to discourage us in the work.

We must start to plow the land again to prepare the land, sow new seeds, take care of the planting, water enough and fertilize facing inclement weather because the harvest will come.

Determining what we have to do when we are in arid land with few opportunities, makes us think of the early and latter rain that is spoken of in the Word of God, the trees that bear fruit in their time like a leaf does not fall, also in how the righteous will flourish because God fulfills what he has promised, we only have to wait for the propitious moment of the harvest, advancing without stopping or going back.

We can take the seed, water it, plant it, and care for it without overlooking that true growth is given by God. Our hearts must be fertilized and prepared in order to help cultivate that of others with the good seed of the Word of God. We will advance as we know how to take care of the land and make it fertile through the work of our Creator. "The farmer, to partake of the fruits, must work first" (2 Timothy 2: 6).

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, you are the good farmer of my life and heart. Help me so that the seed of your Word grows in my being, that I take care to put it into action and bear fruit to make your salvation known, to be part of a good harvest.
